This Warranty Policy outlines the general warranty principles applicable to Plankor flooring products. Specific warranty periods and coverage may vary by product and are published on individual product pages where applicable.
1. Limited Product Warranty
Plankor provides a limited warranty against qualifying manufacturing defects in eligible products.
Warranty coverage applies only to products:
- Purchased from Plankor or an authorized Plankor reseller
- Installed in accordance with manufacturer installation requirements
- Maintained according to recommended care and maintenance procedures
- Used under normal residential or commercial conditions, as applicable
2. Product-Specific Warranty Coverage
Warranty periods may vary depending on:
- Product collection
- Product construction
- Residential or commercial application
- Intended use
Where applicable, product-specific warranty information shall be published on the relevant product page or accompanying documentation.
3. Waterproof Warranty
Where a product is marketed as waterproof, warranty coverage applies only to the flooring product itself and does not extend to:
- Subfloors
- Underlayments
- Surrounding structures
- Furniture
- Personal property
- Mold remediation
- Water damage resulting from improper installation or maintenance
Customers should promptly remove standing water and follow recommended maintenance procedures.
4. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Improper installation
- Failure to follow installation instructions
- Failure to follow maintenance guidelines
- Abuse, misuse, or neglect
- Accidents or impact damage
- Scratches, dents, gouges, or surface damage caused by furniture, pets, or heavy objects
- Excessive moisture outside product specifications
- Structural movement of the building
- Subfloor deficiencies
- Normal wear and tear
- Colour changes caused by sunlight or environmental exposure
- Damage caused by improper cleaning products
5. Inspection Prior to Installation
Customers and installers must inspect all products prior to installation.
Do not install products that appear:
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Inconsistent with the ordered material
Installation constitutes acceptance of the product’s appearance, colour, finish, dimensions, and condition.
Claims relating to visible issues identified after installation may not be accepted.
6. Flooring Appearance and Variation
Natural variation in colour, texture, embossing, grain pattern, and finish is normal and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Samples, room scenes, photographs, and digital renderings are intended for reference only and may not precisely represent the final installed appearance.
Customers are encouraged to order physical samples before purchasing.
7. Labour and Related Costs
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, warranty coverage applies only to the affected product.
Warranty coverage does not include:
- Labour costs
- Removal costs
- Reinstallation costs
- Accommodation expenses
- Business interruption
- Loss of use
- Freight charges
- Consequential or incidental damages
8. Warranty Claims
To initiate a warranty claim, customers must provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Order number
- Product information
- Photographs of the issue
- Installation details where applicable
Additional information may be requested to evaluate the claim.
Plankor reserves the right to inspect products or request samples before determining claim eligibility.
9. Warranty Remedies
Where a valid warranty claim is approved, Plankor may, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the affected product
- Replace the affected product
- Provide replacement material
- Issue a refund for the affected product
Any remedy provided shall constitute full settlement of the warranty claim.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plankor’s liability under this Warranty Policy shall not exceed the original purchase price of the affected product.
